Lets get Hybrid !!!

My new found love is Hybrid

The Mix between Digital and Traditional Scrapping/Crafting

Inspirational Quote - Thanks to Geek Chic Scraps

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
 Theodore Roosevelt

I thought I would do a post with some pictures of my hybrid stash to show you how simple it can be to begin this wonderful hobby. I used to make handmade cards before I went Digi so I havent had to buy much at all. You'll be suprised at what you can find around the house
(or someone elses - in my case - Thanks Mum xx)
to get creative with.

........................................

So lets get started

Here is a picture of my "Tub" everyone should have a place to stash those things that are begging to be recycled or made over into something amazing !!

Notebooks are a fab way to start off
Making fun and funky covers is fun to do and looks amazing when finished

Tubes/tubs/etc I'm going to make  pen pot holder with at least one of these

The possibilities are only as endless as your imagination xx

............................................

You'll need tools right ??

Here is my "Tool Tub" I should have shares in tupperware !!

Ok so some you will find in craft stores - other bits you might already have

Scissors - you must have a pair somewhere ?
Pencil
Tweezers - I like the long handled ones
Gel Pens
Craft Knife

Now I havent got one of those thingy-me-jigs to scrore my fold lines with

so ...........

I found old biro pen - that no longer has ink

HEY PRESTO

My very own thingy-me-jig !!!

................................................

Now lets move on to "Adhesives" or as I prefer to say .......

Sticky Stuff

There are so many differnt stickt stuffs out there to try - buy small at first to get an idea of what you like to work with - here are some of my fav's

Doubles sided tape - quicker and not as messy as glue
Foam sticky tape and pads - variety of sizes
Glue Stick and PVA Glue - sometimes only glue will do

..........................................

Odds & Ends

A ruler is fab and I'd say even essential - But what about when your trying to measure those tubs and tubes - you got it - a Tape measure !! A stapler and hole punch may come in handy and you can pick these up in your local £ store or $ store

Thanks to my Mum I have a wonderful collection of beads and buttons, ribbon and wool too

...................................

Card and Paper Stock

You dont always have to print your own - you may want a base to work from and add your digital papers and elements to this

One thing I would suggest - is keep your off cuts - every bit of card and paper will eventually be used

I'd much rather visit a folder of little off cuts than cut up an A4 sheet for a little tag or small matting area

.....................................

Well thats my Hybrid stash - Hope you enjoyed browsing and reading

Don't forget the Quote !!!

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
 Theodore Roosevelt

I'm still very new to "Hybrid" scrapping and crafting so I'm sure there are other things I'll and You'll come accross on your Hybrid Journey !!!

((HUGS))

The main thing is to have FUN !!!
